Dmytro Ivanchenko, Kyiv-born community leader and firefighter in Ontario, develops Ukrainian youth programs with Plast, supporting leadership, civic engagement, and national growth initiatives.
Speaker's bio
Dmytro Ivanchenko, born and raised in Kyiv, moved to Canada in 2015 and has since been deeply involved in volunteer work across Ontario and Canada. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous organizations, including Track3, Canadian Ski Patrol, Grassroot Response initiatives, and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress. Today, he serves as Stanychnyi (President) of Plast Ukrainian Youth Association in Kitchener-Waterloo, where he develops programs that foster leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility among Ukrainian youth. Dmytro also supports national growth initiatives with Plast Canada. Alongside his community work, he serves as a firefighter with the London Fire Department. His professional experience in public service complements his volunteer work, reflecting a lifelong commitment to community, safety, and the values of service.
