Peter Kryworuk, a senior partner at Lerners LLP and leading civil litigator, is a dedicated community leader, mentor, and the first Ukrainian Canadian President of The Advocates’ Society.
Peter Kryworuk is a civil litigation lawyer and community leader. He is a Senior Partner and Health Law Group Leader at Lerners LLP. He is a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Ontario and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Litigation Counsel of America, and International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has a broad civil litigation and appellate practice. Peter has appeared as counsel in all levels of Court in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He is the first Ukrainian Canadian to serve as President of The Advocates’ Society, Canada’s leading association of advocates. Peter is widely recognized as a leading lawyer in his practice areas including by Lexpert and Best Lawyers in Canada. He has received the highest ratings as an AV Preeminent Rated Attorney by US- based Martindale-Hubbell and by UK- based Chambers and Partners as a Band 1 lawyer in Healthcare Law.Peter has written and lectured extensively. He received the University of Windsor Faculty of Law Distinguished Alumni Award.After law school, Peter moved to London where he served in various leadership roles within his firm. He has been a mentor for many young lawyers and students. In his youth, Peter was active with the Ukrainian Youth Association (SUM) becoming President of the Windsor Branch and a member of the National Executive. Peter has been active in various Ukrainian organizations in London and beyond. He served as President of the London Ukrainian Centre. He has provided pro bono legal services to various Ukrainian organizations, and community members, including recently displaced Ukrainians.Peter’s broader community service includes leadership roles at the London Health Sciences Foundation, London Health Sciences Centre, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame, and London Community Foundation.
