Bohdan, a Toronto-born educator and long-time Plast leader, is dedicated to Ukrainian-Canadian community, education, and volunteer work in Canada, Ukraine, and abroad.

Bohdan, born and raised in Toronto, has been a life-long member and leader in Plast, Ukrainian Youth Association.In his volunteer roles as president of the Plast Toronto Branch and National President, his commitment was always to the Ukrainian-Canadian community and to education in both Canada and Ukraine. As a professional educator, Bohdan had worked for local school boards for many years, and volunteered in Ukraine almost yearly since 1994, most recently this year in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.Bohdan is a Board member of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation and serves as Chair of the Education Committee. He represents Dzherelo, the Lviv Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, which provides support to children and youth with special needs and their families. In 1995 Bohdan spent five months with his wife and three young sons in Lviv, Ukraine, volunteering as an educational consultant.With his interest in international affairs, he has served on several election observation missions to Ukraine and Moldova.Bohdan has received several national awards from Ukrainian and Canadian organizations.
