Speaker's bio

Oksana Marchyshyn is the President of the Ukrainian Center for Children’s Culture and Leisure in Quebec City and Vice-President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Quebec Provincial Council. Mrs. Oksana holds the position of Executive Assistant at the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Montreal and is the founder of the first Ukrainian Orthodox parish in Quebec City. She actively contributes to the development and strengthening of the Ukrainian community in Quebec through educational, cultural, and social initiatives. Her activities are aimed at supporting children, youth, and families, as well as preserving the Ukrainian language, traditions, and identity abroad. Having arrived in Canada with her family in 2022, Oksana well understands the challenges of newcomers and today actively helps them in the process of adaptation. She skillfully and effectively collaborates with local organizations, volunteers, and partners, creating opportunities for integration and community development.She is married and raising two sons.
