Speaker's bio
Oleksandra Matviichuk is a human rights lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, which works to defend freedom and human dignity in Ukraine and across the OSCE region. She has extensive experience in creating civic structures for mass public involvement in defending rights and documenting violations during armed conflict.
She has authored numerous reports submitted to the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the European Union, the OSCE, and the International Criminal Court.
Tribunal for Putin Initiative
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Matviichuk and her partners launched the Tribunal for Putin initiative to document international crimes under the Rome Statute of the ICC, covering all regions of Ukraine, including occupied territories.
