Oksana Levytska began her teaching career in 1989 in Ukraine. She worked as a teacher of English and vice-principal in a secondary school. Currently Oksana is licensed by the Ontario College of Teachers in Ontario and is a teacher of the Catholic School Board of Education in Toronto.
Oksana has 10 years’ experience teaching secondary level subjects in a Ukrainian school. At present Oksana is a principal of the Ukrainian Saturday School Ridna Shkola. She has also served as Chair of the UNF Ukrainian School Initiatives Committee since 2010. The Committee activity is aimed to revive, start and support UNF ridni shkoly in Canada. She is also an active member of Ukrainian Canadian School Board UCC in Toronto.
Recently Oksana chaired the UCC National Ukrainian Education Council. She is an organizer of teachers’ conferences, workshops, and webinars across Canada.
Oksana works with educators in the diaspora and Ukraine, and willingly shares her best teaching practices and techniques with colleagues for teaching Ukrainian.
Oksana writes articles for publication in periodicals in Canada and Ukraine. Currently she is chairing the International Educational Coordinating Council of the Ukrainian World Congress.
